Wow, I can't believe June is almost finished!
We have had a lot of hot days, and with consistent watering - the plants are looking very happy! We have so many green beans (haricot verts) and snow peas ready for picking! Also, lots of green tomatoes just waiting to ripen, a bunch of growing zucchini and peppers, and lots of flowers on cucumbers and squash.
Each of our green bean plants looks like this - so many beans! |
Ripening tomatoes! |
First zucchini of the year! Julie thinks it looks like a platypus. Tony thinks it looks like a duck. |
Also, the garden is in full bloom, with beautiful flowers, happy grass and full beds.
If you're interested in coming to visit and want to pick some fresh veggies, please contact us at bodycommunitygarden@gmail.com!
Our next set of open hours aren't until mid-July, but we would love to have you come get some beans, peas, tomatoes and zucchini ASAP!
Happy summer everyone!
-Julie
