Tomatoes, Peppers and Squash - oh my!

With all the rain over the last couple days, the plants are super happy!  And growing!

*warning - these are some pretty terrible phone pictures...so you'll have to come see the plants in person during our open hours to get the full experience*

Also - advanced apologies if we got some of the student's names wrong on their plants.  The dirt has made some of the names a little tough to read.

We have peppers!  Lots and lots of cayenne peppers, either already growing strong, or flowering and coming soon.
Jasmine's Cayenne Pepper
Nicholas' Cayenne Pepper
Xiomara's Cayenne Pepper
Tinel's Cayenne Pepper
Cole's Cayenne Pepper

On one side of the trellis we have beans and peas getting so big!
Pea flowers!
Bean flowers!

On the other side of the trellis we have cucumbers, beans and tomatoes!
In the yellow we have cucumbers, in the red more beans, and everything else is tomatoes!
We have a couple cherry tomato plants with green tomatoes already growing!  Others have lots of flowers just waiting to be tomatoes soon!

Our two successful pumpkin plants are getting so big!!  This might be a practice year for pumpkins - but we're considering planting more.
Our squash plants are getting huge!  Also we have lots of plants that are already flowering!

Ali has a squash flower!
Amani also has a beautiful squash bloom!

Our strawberry plants have a flower!!!!!!! Yayyyy!!  Although in general our PVC pipe strawberry gardens haven't been as successful as we were hoping - we still have a chance!

And of course, our magnolia tree is still beautiful.

Come see these plants and more in person during our open hours next week!!
June 18th, 19th, and 20th from 5pm-7pm
and June 23rd from 3pm-6pm

Happy summer everyone!! We hope you come visit us next week!
-Julie
